Aave Responds to Blocking Addresses Over Tornado Cash Clampdown

DeFi lending protocol Aave Protocol stated the TRM API on its app was liable for blocking addresses that acquired ETH from unknown sources via Twister Money.

In a Twitter thread on Saturday, the protocol claims that it receives blockchain intelligence from TRM Labs and has built-in TRM API into its frontend to make sure a protected and safe system.

In line with the DeFi protocol, “TRM API threat parameters determine all wallets which have interacted with Twister Money contracts” and in compliance with OFAC sanctions, block all addresses that interacted publish sanction. 

This explains why a number of addresses entered the blocklist, together with those “despatched “dusted” ETH by third events interacting with the Twister Money contracts with out consent.”

It added that it has addressed the difficulty and can “proceed to guage accountable and cheap threat mitigation given the circumstances.”

Moreover, the protocol reiterated that it stays decentralized and ruled by a DAO, urging its “group to stay engaged and actively struggle for open and truthful finance.”

Justin Solar Regains Entry to Aave

In the meantime, Justin Solar, whose Aave account was a type of blocked for receiving $0.1 ETH via Twister Money, has confirmed that the account is lively once more.

Justin Solar had earlier revealed that he was unable to work together with Aave on August 13. The Tron founder stated that the decentralized protocol had blocked his pockets due to a Twister Money-linked transaction.

Peckshield later revealed that over 600 wallets have been affected by the ban.
